Evolving your Pokemon cards is like giving them a superpower boost! Real simple: you start with your Basic Pokemon card on the battlefield. When you have its Evolution card in your hand and it’s your turn (but not the first turn or the same turn you played the Basic Pokemon), you can evolve it by placing the Evolution card on top of the Basic Pokemon. Just remember, it’s one evolution per turn per Pokemon, so no skipping straight to Stage 2!

Short but sweet version: Play Basic, wait a turn, then slap that Evolution card on top next turn. Boom, evolved!

Been playing the Pokemon TCG since I was a kid, and here's the golden rule: patience! Place your Basic Pokemon first. Next turn (patience, remember?), if the evolution's burning a hole in your hand, play it on top. Also, remember some cards have abilities that tweak these rules, so always read your cards!

Honestly, evolving Pokemon cards is overrated. Just build a deck with strong Basics.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
