Nope, can't swap games on Steam. It's a one-way street once you purchase a game and add it to your library.

Okay, so here's the scoop - you can't directly exchange games on Steam like you're trading cards in the schoolyard. Once a game is in your library, it's yours. However, what you CAN do is gift games! If you buy a game as a gift, you can send it to a friend directly through Steam. Just make sure they don't already have the game, or else you'll be holding onto that gift forever.

I tried to trade games with my buddy once, thinking we could swap some of our unused games. Learned the hard way that Steam doesn't let you exchange games once they're in your library. Ended up gifting new games to each other for birthdays instead. Not the solution we wanted, but it turned into a new tradition for us!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
