Another option is to use an external hard drive via the USB port and format it to FAT32, but the PS3 can't save game installs on it, just media files.

You can easily expand your PS3 storage by replacing the internal hard drive with a larger 2.5-inch SATA hard drive. Just make sure it鈥檚 no thicker than 9.5mm and 1TB should be more than enough!
