Honestly, your best bet is just to farm higher-level mobs consistently. It's a grind, but the more you kill, the more you'll get!
In my experience, the Haunted Iron Mine is a goldmine, or should I say heart-mine? Just watch out for those pesky iron guardians!
Run the Bandit Armory repeatedly. The drop rate is decent, and you might get gear upgrades too.
I just stick to killing V Blood carriers over level 30, it's like getting hearts on a silver platter.
