The best way to farm XP in Pokémon GO is by using Lucky Eggs during events with double XP bonuses. Catching Pokémon, hatching eggs, and evolving Pokémon gives you a ton of XP, especially when combined with double XP events.
Try doing mass evolutions with a Lucky Egg active. Collect a bunch of Pokémon that are easy to evolve and evolve them all at once. Boom, instant XP boost!
