In Animal Crossing, if you're looking to skip ahead a day, you'll want to mess with the system clock. Just save your game and close it, then head over to your Nintendo Switch system settings. Look for 'System', then 'Date and Time', and turn off the setting that syncs the clock via the internet. Now, manually change the date to the next day (or however far you want to leap), start your game back up, and voila! You're in the future. Just remember, tampering with time can lead to some unexpected results in your village!

Can confirm, changing the console's date works. I needed to harvest fruit faster for some quick bells, and it totally did the trick. Just be careful with it; it feels a bit like cheating, and the game throws some shade at you for time traveling.

Nah, just play the game as it was meant to be! Part of the charm is in the real-time waiting.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
