I found that using artillery and a solid frontline works wonders. Bombard them from a distance, then let your heroes and cavalry mop up the rest.
Just spam ranged units and watch their ghostly ships go poof. Easy peasy.
From my own experience, dealing with the Dreadfleet requires a balance of strategy and brute force. Use heroes to take out their ethereal units and keep a tight formation; it鈥檚 all about positioning!
