Fighting the Destroyer in Terraria is all about preparation and strategy. First off, you wanna make sure you're well-equipped. Get yourself some high-tier armor and weapons. Daedalus Stormbow with Holy Arrows does wonders because of its area effect. Also, build a high platform about 30 blocks off the ground to avoid its attacks more easily. Don't forget potions! Ironskin, Regeneration, and Archery potions can give you that extra edge. Lastly, summon the boss at night and keep moving to dodge its lasers.

A tip from my experience: set up a bunch of heart statues around your arena if you can find any. They drop hearts that help keep your HP up during the fight. Also, have a Nurse NPC close by to heal you in a pinch. Preparation is key!

Honestly, just spam the Destroyer with the Daedalus Stormbow and Holy Arrows. Works like a charm every time. No need to overcomplicate things.

I disagree with the stormbow strategy. Go for piercing weapons instead if you're playing melee or mage. Jester's Arrows or the Nimbus Rod can hit multiple segments at once, making the fight go quicker.
