Actually, you can't 'find' a sawmill in Terraria like you would a treasure chest or a rare item. You gotta craft it yourself! Just gather 10 wood, 2 iron or lead bars, and 1 chain. Whip those together at a workbench and bam, you've got yourself a sawmill.
You don't find, you create. Get to a workbench, grab 10 wood, a couple of bars (iron or lead), and a chain. Crafting a sawmill is a piece of cake once you have the ingredients!
