Pro tip: Clear an island of all insects and flowers to encourage tarantulas to spawn. No bamboo islands though, they won't show up there. Also, carry a net and move slow!

Finding a tarantula in Animal Crossing can be a thrilling challenge! First, they only appear from November to April between 7 PM and 4 AM. Wander around your island during these hours, and you might spot one. If you're looking for an island full of them, try visiting a Mystery Island during these months and times. Sometimes, you'll land on a 'Tarantula Island' where these critters spawn in abundance. Just be ready with your net, and approach them slowly so they don't charge!

Caught my first one by accident while shaking trees for sticks at night. Never screamed so loud in my life. They're out there, just gotta keep an eye out and be quick with your net!

Honestly, just luck. Walk around at night and hope for the best.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
