Finding Demon Altars in Terraria is all about diving deep into the game's underground layers, especially in and around the Corruption or the Crimson areas. Keep your eyes peeled while exploring the chasms or underground corruption/crimson. These altars usually look like creepy, dark shrines. Sometimes, they're kinda out in the open in the Corruption or Crimson biomes, but other times, you might have to dig around or explore caves to find them. Just remember to bring plenty of torches, cause it’s gonna be dark down there!

Just smash some Shadow Orbs or Crimson Hearts, and you'll find Demon Altars popping up nearby. Works every time for me!

Honestly, just wander around the Corruption or Crimson biomes. You'll trip over a Demon Altar eventually, they're not exactly rare.
