Ah, the quest for Excalibur! So, you can't 'find' Excalibur like you would a chest or an item drop. It's actually crafted! What you gotta do is get your mitts on 12 Hallowed Bars. You can score these by defeating the mechanical bosses (The Twins, The Destroyer, and Skeletron Prime). Once you've got those bars, head over to a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil, and voila! Craft your own legendary Excalibur.
Everyone's getting it all twisted. Excalibur's cool and all, but why not aim for the True Excalibur? It's an upgraded version, and crafting it's part of the Terraria endgame. Just saying, there are bigger fish.
