Finding your Fallout Shelter save file on Steam is pretty straightforward! Navigate to your Steam folder, usually located in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam'. From there, head to 'userdata', find your Steam user ID folder, and then look for the folder 'Bethesda Softworks.FalloutShelter'. Inside, you'll find your save files, named 'VaultX.sav', where X is the number of your vault. Easy peasy, vault dweller!

Just to throw in my two cents: the save file's hiding spot can feel like you're navigating a vault yourself! But it's actually in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\\Bethesda Softworks.FalloutShelter'. If you've got more than one Steam account or have used multiple IDs, you might have to snoop through a couple of folders to find the right one.

If you're a Fallout Shelter player looking for extra caps or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Fallout Shelter essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
