To get the Metal Cap in Super Mario 64, you need to find the Cavern of the Metal Cap in the Hazy Maze Cave. First, go to the Hazy Maze Cave and find the door leading to the underground lake. Swim over to a small island where Dorrie, the Loch Ness Monster, is chilling. Hop on Dorrie's back and steer her towards the metal door with a star on it. Go through it, follow the path, and jump on the green switch to make all future Metal Caps appear鈥攊t鈥檚 that simple!
Just head to Hazy Maze Cave, find the underground lake, and ride Dorrie to the star door. Boom, Metal Cap unlocked!
