To find the number of neutrons in an element, subtract the atomic number from the atomic mass (rounded to the nearest whole number). Simple math, and voila, you’ve got neutrons!

Neutrons, huh? Just take the atomic mass, subtract the atomic number, and boom, neutrons.

You can't directly see neutrons on the periodic table. Calculate them by taking the atomic mass minus the atomic number.
