To find Poochy in Super Mario Odyssey, head to the Sand Kingdom after you beat the main storyline. Look for him near the Pyramid in the seed planting area – he's usually digging around there!
In my experience, I wandered around the Sand Kingdom near the Pyramid, and lo and behold, there he was, wagging his tail excitedly near the seeds.
Just look in the Sand Kingdom's seed planting area after the main story. He's a tricky pup, but worth the search!
