Finding a meteorite in Terraria is all about patience and power. Once you've defeated the Eater of Worlds or the Brain of Cthulhu, there's a good chance a meteorite will land overnight. Check your map for new, small, purple icons indicating where it's landed, but make sure you're geared up with at least a Gold Pickaxe or better to mine it!

Just break some Shadow Orbs or Crimson Hearts, and wait. A meteorite lands usually at midnight in-game after you've smashed one of those. No need to complicate things!

Honestly, finding meteorite can be a bit of a wait game. Best trick is to just keep playing and keep an eye on the night sky. When you see a message about a meteorite landing, that's your cue to start searching. Don't bother without at least a Tungsten pickaxe or you'll be there all day trying to mine it.

Meteorite hunt? Just keep destroying those Shadow Orbs or Crimson Hearts. More you break, higher the chance of a meteorite falling the next night. Also, a little tip, don't stand on the meteorite without an Obsidian Skull; you'll thank me later.
