How to Find Vault 81 in Fallout 4
Finding Vault 81 in Fallout 4 is pretty straightforward. Head to the west of Diamond City, almost directly west of the Chestnut Hillock Reservoir. You'll see it marked on your map as you get closer, so no need to trek through the wasteland without a clue. Just keep an eye out for hostiles!

Shortcut alert: Fast travel to Chestnut Hillock Reservoir and go west. Vault 81 is right there. Can't miss it unless you're actively trying to get lost. And watch out for the Mole Rats!
Everyone's saying go west but honestly, just follow the road signs. The Commonwealth ain't that big, and Vault 81 is one of the easier landmarks to find if you're paying attention. Plus, exploring the surroundings is half the fun.
