Basically, you need to talk to Mabel in the shop, choose to share a design, and you'll get a code for your island. Remember, this code is for sharing designs, not exactly an 'island code' for visits, but it's a code tied to your island!
Just a heads up, if you're looking for a Dodo Code to invite friends to your island, that's a different thing. You get that from the Dodo Airlines counter when you want to open your gates for visitors.
