Fishing for crates in Terraria is all about preparation! First, make sure you've got a fishing rod. The better the rod, the better your chances. Then, grab some bait - worms, butterflies, you name it. Find yourself a nice body of water - oceans, lakes, or even player-made ponds work. The bigger the water body, the better. Finally, just cast your line and wait. Different crates can be caught depending on the water type and whether it's hardmode or not. Happy fishing!

Pro tip: Use crate potions! They seriously boost your chances of getting crates while fishing. I tried it last weekend, and the difference was night and day. Also, fishing during a rain helps a bit too.
