Fishing in Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch is super chill and fun! Just head to any body of water like a river, ocean, or pond. Keep an eye out for fish shadows in the water. Once you spot one, equip your fishing rod (you can buy one from Timmy and Tommy at Nook's Cranny, or craft it if you've got the DIY recipe) and cast your line by pressing 'A'. Make sure the lure lands in front of the fish. Wait for the fish to nibble and when it bites (the sound cue and a bigger splash will clue you in), press 'A' again to reel it in. Patience is key, my friend!

Honestly, fishing in ACNH is a test of patience more than anything. It's all about timing. Cast too early or too late, and you'll miss. But remember, not all shadows are worth your time. Learn the sizes and you'll be catching sharks and coelacanths in no time!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
