Forget all those complicated fixes. Honestly, just borrow the disc from a friend, download it, and return it. Problem solved!

Give the ol' reliable console reset a shot! Turn off your Xbox, unplug it for a few minutes, and then try the disc again. Sometimes, the console just needs a little breather.

Get a microfiber cloth and some isopropyl alcohol. Dampen the cloth (don’t soak it) and gently wipe the disc. This might clear away any oil or grime.

First, try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth, wiping from the center outwards. If that doesn’t work, check the disc for scratches. Minor scratches can sometimes be polished out with a bit of toothpaste – just rub gently in a circular motion!

One time I had this issue, I bought one of those disc repair kits from the electronics store. The one I used had a little buffing wheel and some polishing liquid. Worked like a charm on my old Halo 3 disc!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
