First, try rebooting your PS3 by holding down the power button until it beeps twice. If that doesn't work, check your HDMI connections and make sure the hard drive is properly seated. Open the console and clean out any dust if it's overheating.

I had an issue where my PS3 wouldn't turn on. Turns out the power supply unit was faulty. Replaced it with a new one from eBay, and it worked like a charm!
