To fix this, just power cycle your Xbox One. Hold the power button for 10 seconds to fully shut it down, then unplug it for another 10. Plug it back in and restart. Voila, back to gaming!
I've had this happen before. Usually, signing out of your account and then signing back in does the trick. If that fails, reset your router to refresh the connection.
Make sure your Xbox Live account details are up to date and match your billing info. Incorrect details can make Xbox get all fussy and ask for more authentication.
