Make sure your headset or mic isn't too close to your speakers. The feedback loop can cause that annoying echo.

Check your audio settings and make sure 3D Audio is turned off. Sometimes, this setting can cause echoes.

In my experience, turning off the microphone monitoring option in the PS5 settings helps. Go to 'Settings' > 'Sound' > 'Audio Output' > 'Microphone Monitoring' and turn it off.

Just mute the mic when you're not talking. It stops the echo and saves everyone else's ears!

Sometimes, the echo comes from having a cheap or faulty headset. Try using a different one and see if the problem persists.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
