How to Fix an Echoing Mic on Xbox One
ScoldingIrony路5 months agoI had the same problem! What worked for me was turning off the 'mic monitoring' feature in the audio settings. This reduced the echo significantly.

Hot take: Most echo problems are caused by using cheap headsets, so just invest in a better one!
Make sure nobody else in your party chat is using speakers instead of headphones. Sound from their speakers could be looping back into their mic, causing the echo.
First, check if your Xbox One controller and headset are properly connected. Sometimes a simple reconnection does the trick! If that doesn't work, go to your audio settings and lower the microphone sensitivity. Make sure to also check the volume levels鈥攕ometimes they're just too high causing the echo.
