You can also try deleting the corrupted file directly from the Game Data Utility folder. Just find the corrupted file and press Triangle, then select Delete.

First thing to try is the PS3's Safe Mode. Turn off your PS3, then hold the power button until you hear three beeps. Then choose 'Restore File System' or 'Rebuild Database'. Often, this works like a charm!

From my experience, if those methods don't work, you might need to backup your data and perform a system restore. Just be sure to save anything important first!

Sometimes, installing the latest system update has resolved corrupted file issues for me. Go to Settings > System Update and see if that helps!

Hot take: Unplugging your PS3 for a few minutes has miraculously fixed my corrupted files before. Might be worth a try!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
