Honestly, just use a wired connection. Wi-Fi can be unstable, and a direct cable connection often resolves DNS issues, especially for gaming.
First, try changing your DNS settings on the PS4. Go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection. Choose either Wi-Fi or LAN cable, then select Custom. For DNS Settings, select Manual and enter 8.8.8.8 for Primary and 8.8.4.4 for Secondary. This uses Google's DNS and often fixes the issue!
Had this issue before! Just switching my DNS to OpenDNS rather than Google's worked for me. Use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 for Primary and Secondary.
Reboot your router and PS4. Sometimes a simple restart can clear out any network hiccups causing the DNS error. Just unplug your router for a minute, plug it back in, and restart your PS4.
