First, try cleaning around the joystick with some compressed air. Sometimes, dirt gets trapped and causes the drift.

Alright, first things first, try resetting the controller by connecting it to the Xbox using a USB cable and then updating the firmware. If that doesn鈥檛 work, you might need to clean the analog sticks with isopropyl alcohol.

Honestly, just buy a new one. Fixing it isn't worth the hassle.

If you have the tools and guts, opening the controller and cleaning inside can help. Just be careful and follow a guide like this [link].

Hey, had the same issue. What worked for me was taking apart the controller and cleaning the inside with compressed air. Just be careful with the small parts!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
