How to Fix Fallout 4 Crash
Lower your graphics settings! Fallout 4 can be pretty demanding, and if your PC is on the older side, it may not handle the game at high settings. Try turning down the graphics to reduce the load on your system.

Tried everything but it still crashes? It could be a deeper issue with your save file or the game installation itself. As a last resort, try reinstalling Fallout 4, but remember to back up your saves first!
First, try the basics: update your graphics drivers and Fallout 4, and verify the game files through Steam. If that doesn't work, disable any mods you've installed to see if that stops the crashes. Sometimes mods conflict with the game or each other, causing instability.
I just set the game to run in windowed mode at a lower resolution and it stopped crashing. Not the best fix, but it works until you figure out what鈥檚 really causing the problem.
Cap your FPS. The game engine ties physics to frame rate, so if your FPS is too high, it could cause instability. Use a 3rd party software to cap it at 60 or below.
