Try verifying the game files through the launcher. Corrupted files can often be the culprit for those pesky errors!
In my experience, reinstalling War Thunder worked like a charm. It took a bit of time, but no more fatal errors!
Nuke it from orbit – a.k.a., do a fresh install of the game. Sometimes, it's the only way to be sure.
