First, make sure your voice chat is enabled in settings. Go to the audio tab and check if voice chat is on and set to your desired input/output devices. If that doesn't work, try restarting your game or even your console/PC.
Make sure you have the right parental controls. Sometimes those settings can block game chat if not configured properly.
Verify that the game and your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated software can sometimes cause these issues.
From personal experience, I found that sometimes just toggling the voice chat off and back on can do the trick. It sounds too simple, but hey, it worked for me!
