First thing to try: restart your PS4. Works like a charm sometimes! If that doesn't help, make sure you update the game and your system software. Clearing up some storage space can also help, and closing other applications running in the background might do the trick too.

Cut down on base complexity! Simplifying your base or avoiding constructing massive structures can help maintain smoother frame rates. I had to trim down my underwater palace, but hey, it worked.
