First, try cleaning around the L2 button with a can of compressed air to remove any dirt or debris. If that doesn’t work, you might need to open up the controller and check if the internal spring is broken or loose. You can find replacement springs online and tutorials on YouTube for detailed steps.

Honestly, if you're not comfortable opening up the controller, just take it to a local repair shop. They can fix it quickly and you won’t risk breaking anything else.

I fixed mine by buying a cheap replacement L2 button set on Amazon and following a tutorial online. It was a bit fiddly, but totally doable even for a novice like me!

Just buy a new controller. Less hassle, more gaming.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
