Turns out the Lavenderbeard error in Sea of Thieves isn't as mysterious as it sounds! First up, check if Steam's servers are up and running. Sometimes, the issue is on their end. If Steam's all good, then make sure your own internet connection isn't playing pirate and rebelling against you. A simple reboot of your router might just do the trick. Lastly, double-check that Sea of Thieves is updated to the latest version because running an old version can cause all sorts of weird issues, Lavenderbeard included.

Fire up the cannons, 'cause the Lavenderbeard error often means Steam's servers are down. Wait it out, mateys.

In my experience, the Lavenderbeard error was a sign that my firewall was blocking Sea of Thieves. I added an exception for the game in my firewall settings, and voila, problem solved!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
