If UPnP doesn鈥檛 work, try setting up port forwarding. Forward ports 88 (UDP), 3074 (UDP and TCP), 500 (UDP), 3544 (UDP), and 4500 (UDP).
In my experience, I had to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on my router. Check your router's manual for instructions on how to do this.
Go to Settings > General > Network settings on your Xbox. Select Test NAT type, and follow the prompts to see if it resolves the problem.
Bridge your modem and router together. Sometimes double NAT can cause problems, and bridging them can help.
