How to fix redscreen errors in XCOM 2
Try lowering the graphics settings in-game, especially disable any advanced options. Sometimes XCOM 2's preferences can get a bit too ambitious.

Update your graphics drivers and verify the integrity of the game files through Steam. It worked wonders for me!
Turn off V-Sync and set your frame rate limit to 60 in the options menu. Sometimes the game just needs to calm down a bit.
