Get yourself a can of compressed air, spray around the stick's base, and it might just blow away the problem!

First, try cleaning around the base of the joysticks with some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. Sometimes, gunk just needs to be evicted! If that doesn't work, a hard reset or a firmware update might help too.

Honestly, just get a new controller. Less hassle, more gaming.

Had the same problem with my controller! What worked for me was opening it up (carefully) and cleaning the inside around the sticks. If you鈥檙e not comfortable with that, better get a replacement or professional repair.

Check if your controller needs a firmware update through the Xbox Accessories app. Sometimes, it's just a software glitch that can be fixed with an update!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
