Try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or 8. Right-click the game’s .exe file, go to Properties, then Compatibility tab. That fixed it for me!

If Undertale crashes during the Genocide route, make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Check your GPU manufacturer’s website for updates.

Sometimes, simply reinstalling the game can solve the issues. Uninstall it first, restart your computer, and then reinstall. Worked like a charm for me!
