How to fix Valorant's 'couldn't install a required dependency' issue

Ran into this error myself and it's super annoying, but here's the fix that worked for me: First up, make sure your Windows is fully updated. Outdated OS versions can mess with Valorant. Next, try running the Valorant installer as an admin cuz sometimes it’s just a permission issue. If those two don’t work, disable your antivirus temporarily during the install. Antivirus software can sometimes block the install thinking it's suspicious. Last resort, uninstall and redownload the installer. A fresh start might just be what you need!

Ugh, got this error and nothing worked. Ended up having to reset Windows. Painful but it's what finally fixed it for me. Make sure you backup your stuff if you go this route!

If you're a Valorant player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Valorant gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
