Clean out any dust inside the console. Dust buildup can cause overheating and random shutdowns.
Check the power supply and make sure it's connected properly. Sometimes a loose plug can cause your Xbox 360 to turn off randomly.
My Xbox 360 kept turning off and it turned out to be a problem with my surge protector. Switching to a new one fixed it!
