Try a different USB port on your console or PC. Sometimes it's just a bad connection. Also, make sure the cable isn't damaged.

Make sure the USB port isn鈥檛 dusty. I had this problem once and cleaning out the port with some compressed air solved it instantly!

Quick solution: Might just need a hard reset on your Xbox 360. Turn off the console, unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in.
