How to Fix Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
TrainingLace·5 months agoYou’d be surprised how often a hard reset fixes the issue. Turn off the console, remove and reinsert the batteries, then power everything back on. If the controller still won’t connect, try connecting it to another Xbox 360 to see if the problem persists. You can also check for any physical damage on the controller itself.

First, check the batteries! Sometimes it's as simple as swapping them out or recharging them. If that doesn't work, try syncing the controller again by pressing the sync button on both the console and the controller. Still no luck? You might need to update the controller's firmware or, if all else fails, it could be time for a replacement.
I had the same issue once. Removing and reseating the battery pack solved it for me. Also, cleaning the battery contacts with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab can help with connection issues.
Buy a new controller. It's usually not worth the hassle of fixing it yourself.
