First, make sure your headset is plugged in properly and the connection is secure. Then, go to the audio settings on your Xbox and lower the mic monitoring level. That usually does the trick!

Try doing a power cycle on your Xbox One. Turn it off, unplug it for a couple of minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the issue.

Make sure no one else in your party is using a speaker that could be causing feedback. Ask your friends if they hear the same echo or if it's just you. It could be their setup!

A hot take: sometimes the problem isn't your mic or controller鈥攊t's the room you're in. Soft surfaces like carpets and curtains can help absorb sound and reduce echo.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
