If cleaning doesn't help, you can try recalibrating the controller through your Xbox settings. It might just need a little recalibration.

You can try recalibrating your controller in the Xbox Accessories app. Connect it, go to the app, and follow the steps to calibrate. It might fix the drift issue!

Had the same problem! I just took off the thumbstick covers, cleaned around the base with some isopropyl alcohol, and it worked like a charm.

Contact Microsoft support if basic solutions don't work. Sometimes, it's just a defective unit that needs professional help.

Just buy a new one, seriously. Cheaper than the headache of trying to fix it.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
