Super easy! Just go to 'System Settings' -> 'Storage' -> select your HDD -> press 'Y' for Device Options -> pick 'Format' and follow the prompts.

From the Dashboard, navigate to 'System Settings,' then 'Storage,' choose the hard drive, press 'Y,' and hit 'Format.' You'll need to enter your serial number too, so have that ready.

I did this recently. Go to System Settings > Storage > HDD, then Press Y and select Format. You'll need to enter your console's serial number to confirm.
