To format your PS3 hard disk, go to Settings > System Settings > Format Utility > Format Hard Disk. Just follow the on-screen prompts from there!

Why format it? Just delete what you don't need!

I did this recently—it's super easy! Go to Settings > System Settings > Format Utility > Format Hard Disk and follow the instructions. Make sure you back up your save files before you start!
