How to Format PS4 Hard Drive

Go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4. You'll find the option to full format the hard drive there. Just be aware, this will erase everything!

Here’s the quick and dirty method: Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices > Format as Extended Storage. Done.
