How to FPS Cap Apex Legends
AlightingTang路8 months agoFor those who want to get into the nitty-gritty, you can also cap FPS via command line arguments. Right-click Apex Legends in your game library, go to properties, then add '+fps_max [#]' to the command line arguments section, with [#] being your desired FPS cap. Works like a charm and lets you fine-tune your gaming experience.

Just play the game as is, why cap FPS? Higher FPS equals smoother gameplay. If your rig can handle it, let it rip!
Capping your FPS in Apex Legends is pretty straightforward. Just go to your game settings, then under the 'Video' tab, you'll find the 'Adaptive Resolution FPS Target' option. Set your desired FPS cap here. Remember, setting this too low might affect your gameplay negatively, so find a balance that works for your setup!
I capped mine using the in-game settings and honestly, gameplay's never been smoother. Helps a ton with reducing screen tearing and making sure my ancient GPU doesn't catch fire. Plus, less strain on your system means it might just last you longer. Definitely recommend.
