Honestly, you can just type /friend [username] in the chat. Works like a charm.
Step 1: Go to 'Communication' from the main menu. Step 2: Click 'Friends' and then 'Add Friend.' Step 3: Type in their in-game alias and send the request. Good luck and happy Tenno-ing!
From personal experience, the best way is to play a few missions together first. Then, after knowing they鈥檙e cool, add them through 'Communication' > 'Friends' > 'Add Friend.' This way, you make sure you鈥檙e not just adding randos!
